PT. Berca Schindler Lifts Partners with ITPLN to launch Apprentice Program for Employee Development
PT. Berca Schindler Lifts is proud to announce a new collaboration with Institut Teknologi PLN (ITPLN) through a formal partnership to implement an Apprentice Program aimed at advancing the skills and competencies of its workforce.
The partnership was officially signed by Michael Adrianto, President Director of PT Berca Schindler Lifts, and Ahsin Sidqi, Vice Rector IV of ITPLN. This strategic collaboration represents a strong commitment to bridging industry needs with academic expertise to prepare highly skilled professionals ready to excel in the field of electrical engineering.
As part of the initial phase, nine of Schindler employees will undertake a comprehensive two-year training program covering eight specialized areas including electrical circuits, electronics, electrical measurements, workplace safety, and power protection systems. The program combines theoretical instruction at Schindler’s office with practical training conducted at ITPLN’s well-equipped laboratory facilities.
Vincentius Ricky, Director of FQE at Berca Schindler Lifts, emphasized the company’s dedication to long-term investment in human capital development. "We selected ITPLN because of its reputable faculty, expert instructors, and excellent laboratory infrastructure. After visiting the campus and reviewing their training approach, we are confident this program will provide tangible, applicable skills to our employees," he stated.
"The formal certification provided by this program is invaluable, as it officially recognizes the competencies of participants and enhances their qualifications for technical roles within the industry," said Tony Koerniawan, Director of Vocational School, ITPLN.
This collaboration also aligns with ITPLN’s mission to deepen industry engagement as part of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology’s key performance indicators. Through this partnership, ITPLN faculty members contribute directly to strengthening industry workforce capabilities while gaining valuable professional experience.
The Apprentice Program is a significant step forward in fostering sustainable cooperation between academia and industry, addressing the evolving and specific demands of today’s technical work-force.
